DBA

Discussion-Based Assessments (DBA’s are also called Reviews in this class)

Can I do all the DBAs in the semester in the same call?

No.  Student can do up to one DBA per day only now-a-days.  In the old days, when I first started teaching with FLVS, students could do more than one DBA per day.  But you know how things change over time.  Now, it is one DBA per day.  Please plan ahead.  Discussion-Based Assessments (DBAs) are found at the end of each Module. You must complete all assignments, including the DBAs, in order to be issued a grade in U.S. Government.

How do I get in touch with Mr. Seng to do the DBAs?

Answer: You may schedule your DBAs using the appointment scheduler on the top panel my announcements page (could also simply go here: https://tinyurl.com/ScheduleTalk), by texting, emailing or calling me when you are ready. For each DBA, I will ask you several questions from that module.  Once you schedule a DBA with me, you are free to continue to submit more assignments!

What are Discussion-Based Assessments (DBA’s), and how do I do them?  What do I get for doing them?

Answer: These are mandatory phone assignments.  You could call in or schedule an appointment for me to call you.  Once you schedule, you can submit more online assignments that do not require passwords.  You will get the password after the DBA.  I will ask several questions about the lessons you have already submitted.

How do I prepare for DBAs?

Answer: If you want to prepare for the DBAs, simply go to those lessons, and you will see several pages of information/games to help prepare you for the phone assignments.  For example, to prepare for the 1.10 DBA, go to lesson 1.10.  You will get the passwords for pre-tests, module exams, and final exams after each DBA.  I will email the password to you once you submit the date we did the DBA into the gradebook for that DBA slot.
